Edgar Jean Faure (18 August 1908, Béziers, France - 30 March 1988, 7th Arrondissement of Paris, France) French politician, lawyer, essayist, historian and memoirist, Prime Minister of France in 1952 and again between 1955 and 1956. In 1978, he was elected member of the French Academy.
