The idea that washing dishes would be unpleasant only occurs to me when I'm not doing the dishes. If I'm standing in front of the sink with my sleeves rolled up and my hands in the warm water, it's not so bad anymore. I enjoy the time with each dish, focusing all my strength on it, the water and my hand movements. I know that if I rush just to finish a cup of tea, work becomes pregnant and time is wasted. This is not good because every minute of life is a miracle.

Kiélvezem az időt minden egyes edénnyel, minden erőmmel rá, a vízre meg a kézmozdulataimra összpontosítok. Tudom, ha elkapkodom, csak hogy egy csésze teát ihassak végre, a munka terhessé válik, az idő pedig kárba vész. Ez azért nem jó, mert az élet minden egyes perce csoda."
