"Wenn man großen Groll versöhnt, so muß doch ein Rest an Mißgunst übrigbleiben. Kann eine solche Schlichtung wohl etwas Gutes bewirken? Deswegen kümmert sich der Heilige um solche ungeschickten Vereinbarungen und macht sie den Menschen nicht zum Vorwurf. Die Tugend des Seins sieht nur auf die Vereinbarungsurkunde, die Tugend des Nichts sieht auf ihre Gründe. Das Himmelsdao steht dem Nichts nahe. Stets gibt es den Menschen das Gute."

"Прямолинейно указывать -- все равно что обвинять. От большого оскорбления неминуемо будет унаследовано возмущение. Мирный -- может тогда творить добро. Вот почему совершенный человек выполняет соглашения и не взыскивает с людей. Обладающий добродетелью ищет сближения, бедный добродетелью облагает налогами. Природные явления, ни к кому не питая пристрастия, постоянно несут добро людям."
