"EINHEIT, die aus EINEM stammt, Zeugt die Zweiheit, und die Zweiheit Zeugt die Dreiheit,und die Dreiheit Zeugt die Wesen allesamt. So ist ihnen mitgegeben Stoff als Dasein, Kraft als Leben, Geist als Maß, Vernunft und Freiheit. Was man scheut: als niedre Knechte, Als Verwaiste dazustehn, Haben Könige als rechte Titel für sich ausersehn. Andre sagten schon:„ Die Wesen, Sie gewinnen durch Verlieren, Was gewinnend sie verlieren." Was wir hier bei andern lesen, Ganz dasselbe will ich lehren: „Die durch Starrsinn Macht erwerben, Werden ihren Tod nicht sterben!"- Solche Worte will ich ehren."

The ten thousand things carry Yin on their backs and wrap their arms around Yang. Through the blending of the qi they arrive at a state of harmony. The things that are hated by the whole world Are to be orphaned, widowed, and have no grain. Yet kings and dukes take these as their names. Thus with all things—some are increased by taking away; While some are diminished by adding on. Therefore, what other men teach, [I] will also consider and then teach to others. Thus, "The strong and violent do not come to a natural end." I will take this as the father of my studies."

"Az Egység nemzette a Kettőt, Kettő a Hármat, s a Háromság a Tízezer Teremtményt. Hátat fordít az árnynak a tízezer teremtmény, a fényt akarja látni, de párzik fény az árnnyal az Űr leheletében. A balszerencsét gyűlöli az ember, de árva, elhagyott vagy nyomorult mégis királyok büszke címei. Ami növekszik, megfogyatkozik, s ismét növekszik mi fogyatkozott. Mit más tanított, azt tanítom én is, újat csak egyet: ki erőszakos, erőszakos halált hal - új tan ez."

"Путь рождает один. Один рождает два. Два рождает три. Три рождает мириады сущностей. Для мириад сущностей то, что давит на спину - Инь, а что обнимают спереди - Ян. Через срединность дыхания-ци осуществляют гармонию. Люди в первую очередь не любят быть сирыми, вдовыми, не-прикаянными, а правители и удельные князья так и называют себя. Причинность: Для сущности и убыль может обернуться прибылью. А может и прибыль обернуться убылью. Чему люди учат, тому учу и я. Коль сильный хребет, то умрешь, так и не обретя. Сущность моя - это и делает родителем своего учения."
