An old Buddhist monk I met in India told me that Europeans themselves are the most undisciplined people I have ever met because they are constantly wandering in unreality. Either they dwell on their past, which is unreality, because it no longer exists, or they reflect on their future, which is the other unreality, because it does not exist yet. Instead of living the present with full intensity, it somehow passes, runs away.
