"Fericirea este adesea comparată cu o sferă, fiindcă ambele se rostogolesc cu repeziciune; această comparație e de două ori justificată, întrucât ea conține și un al doilea sens. Sfera nemișcată se arată observatorului ca fiind desăvârșită, închisă în sine, o ființă autosuficientă și, de aceea, asemenea celui fericit nu poate să atragă prea mult timp atenția asupra sa.
