The reason thinks by turning thoughts into a series of words. Whoever penetrates behind his intellect, into the world of infinite currents, here comes to a different form of thought, which may be called "angelic intellect": the spiritual contents do not appear as words, but as stationary and moving figures in an otherworldly space; here are not happy, sad, pleasant, unpleasant thoughts, but round, angular, smooth, strong, monochrome, variegated thoughts. There is an unnameable blend of sharpness and dullness, of brilliance and gloom, which covers everything, which may best be called 'music without sound'; it is the music of the angels, the music of the spheres.
And beyond the infinite currents, in the union of totality, there is another form of thought: this is the "divine intellect" in which the thinker, the object of thought, and the thought are identical.

Az értelem úgy gondolkodik, hogy a gondolatokat szó-sorozattá öltözteti. Aki értelme mögé, a végtelen áramlatok világába hatol, itt más gondolatformához jut, mely „angyali értelem”-nek is nevezhető: a lelki tartalmak nem szavanként, hanem álló és mozgó alakzatokként jelennek meg egy másvilági térben; itt nem vidám, szomorú, kellemes, kellemetlen gondolatok vannak, hanem gömbölyded, szögletes, sima, erős, egyszínű, tarka gondolatok. Megnevezhetetlen élesség és tompaság, ragyogás és homály együttese borít mindent, mely leginkább „hangtalan zené”-nek nevezhető; ez az angyalokból áradó zene, a szférák zenéje.
S a végtelen áramokon túl, a teljességgel-egyesülésben megint más a gondolatforma: ez az „isteni értelem”, melyben a gondolkozó, gondolattárgy és gondolat azonos.

Mintea gândește transformând gândurile într-o serie de cuvinte. Cine pătrunde în spatele intelectului, în lumea curenților infiniți, aici ajunge la o altă formă de gândire, care poate fi numită "intelect angelic": conținuturile spirituale nu apar ca cuvinte, ci ca figuri staționare și în mișcare într-un spațiu din altă lume; aici nu sunt gânduri vesele, triste, plăcute, neplăcute, ci gânduri rotunde, unghiulare, netede, puternice, monocrome, variate. Există un amestec nenumit de acuitate și plictiseală, de strălucire și întuneric, care acoperă totul, care poate fi cel mai bine numit "muzică fără sunet"; aceasta este muzica îngerilor, muzica sferelor.
Și dincolo de curenții infinitului, în uniunea totalității, există o altă formă de gândire: aceasta este "intelectul divin" în care gânditorul, obiectul gândirii și gândirea sunt identice.
