After the age of forty, it is advisable to smoke cigarettes through a smoke filter. These mineral-filled smoke filters absorb only a small fraction of nicotine and the combustion products of cigarette paper, but they do help somewhat. They don't prevent nicotine poisoning, but they do relieve morning coughs and slimy hoarseness. I recommend them to everyone.

Ezek az ásványi betéttel megtömött füstszűrő szipkák a nikotinnak és a cigarettapapír égési termékeinek csekély hányadát nyelik csak el, de valamennyire mégis segítenek. După vârsta de peste patruzeci de ani, este recomandabil să fumați țigări cu filtru de fum. Aceste filtre de fum umplute cu minerale absorb doar o mică parte din nicotină și produsele de ardere ale hârtiei de țigară, dar ajută oarecum. Nu previn intoxicația cu nicotină, dar ameliorează tusea matinală și răgușeala vâscoasă. Le recomand tuturor.
