Gyűjtenek, sokkal többet, mint amennyire szükségük van, mind csak gyűjtenek, gyűjtenek, s már nem is tudják, hogy miért. Mint az emberek, éppen. (...) Én ha valamit dolgozom, azért csinálom, hogy éljek. De ezek azért élnek, hogy örökösen dolgozhassanak valamit, aminek már nincsen is értelme. És a végén nem is élnek, csak dolgoznak, dolgoznak. Amíg meghalnak, addig. Mint az emberek, akik a falvakban élnek, meg a városokban, és egész életükben csak dolgoznak, hordják össze maguk köré a sok mindent, és nincs is idejük ahhoz, hogy örvendeni tudjanak az életnek.
