Akié a föld, azé a jövendő... de csak azé lehet a föld, aki együtt él vele, közel áll hozzá, aki megérti a föld szavát... magyarnak lenni Erdély földjén annyit jelent, mint mindig egy lépéssel előbb lenni... egy kicsit többnek lenni minden tekintetben... többet dolgozni, többet szenvedni, többet adni, többet tudni, többet érezni, többet gondolkozni... okosabbnak lenni, hajlékonyabbnak lenni... meghajolni a viharban, mint a mezőségi gyertyánfa, földig hajolni, ha kell... de meg nem törni soha! A fenyő hasad, a tölgyfa törik, de a gyertyán hajlik, mint az acélrugó és kiegyenesedik újra meg újra... Erdély földjén csak a gyertyán-embernek van jövendője.
