Realize that you are selfish and cannot be otherwise. If you give money to the beggar, at best you do it so that you can enjoy the panorama of your own kindness. Love is also selfish. There is also the feeling that you love your relatives more than others: the instinct connects you to them and you take care of them because it would hurt you if you missed the needs of your loved ones. Törődj bele, hogy önző vagy és nem is lehetsz más. Ha pénzt adsz a koldusnak, legjobb esetben azért teszed, hogy saját jószívűséged panorámájában gyönyörködhess. A szeretet is önzés. Az az érzés is, hogy hozzátartozóidat jobban szeresd, mint másokat: az ösztön fűz hozzájuk és azért gondoskodsz róluk, mert neked fájna, ha hiányoznának szeretteid szükségletei.
