Most megértettem, hogy én - ebben a környezetben, a jólmenő íróság keretében - soha nem éreztem otthon magam. Valamit kerestem, valami örökké hiányzott... Mi? Az, hogy a magam világában, a saját levegőm lélegezzem. Ez hiányzott és talán ezért utaztam el innen ezekben az években, amikor csak lehetett; mindig, évtizedeken át.
