Cele mai convingătoare argumente pe care trebuie să le avem în vedere mereu să fie acestea două: primul constă în faptul că lucrurile însele nu atrag sufletul, ele se găsesc în afara lui, iar înclinațiile noastre se petrec exclusiv din pricina închipuirii noastre lăuntrice. Iar al doilea e acela că tot ceea ce vezi se schimbă atât de repede, încât încetează pe loc să existe. La câte schimbări nu ești tu însuți martor - să te gândești în permanență la asta. Lumea e schimbare, viața e senzație.
