Morality is the only cult, the only natural religion of man on earth, the only one that should concern him in this world. Only by fulfilling the requirements of this morality can we consider ourselves to be fulfilling God's will. If indeed God created man in His image and likeness, then He certainly also endowed him with the instinct of preservation and aspiration for happiness. If God created us to be able to think, it means that he wanted us to be able to use this thinking, to distinguish evil from good, useful from harmful. If He created us to be sociable, it means that He wanted us to live in society and tend to its welfare.

Morala este singurul cult, singura religie naturală a omului pe pământ, singura care ar trebui să-l preocupe în această lume. Doar îndeplinând cerințele acestei morale putem considera că îndeplinim voia lui Dumnezeu. Dacă într-adevăr Dumnezeu a creat omul după chipul și asemănarea Sa, atunci la înzestrat cu siguranță și cu instinctul de conservare și aspirație spre fericire. Dacă Dumnezeu ne-a creat în stare să gândim, înseamnă că a dorit ca noi să putem folosi această gândire, să deosebim răul de bine, folositorul de dăunător. Dacă El ne-a creat să fim sociabili, înseamnă că a dorit ca noi să trăim în societate și să tindem spre bunăstarea ei.
