Vrem să rânduim viața fericită și dreaptă a oamenilor, dar, de când cunoaștem viața oamenilor și știm că ei au năzuit mereu spre asta, știm că niciodată n-au ajuns la o viață fericită și dreaptă. Întotdeauna după atingerea unei trepte a binelui se dezvaluia alta, următoarea, la fel de stăruitor indispensabilă cum părea și cea abia atinsă. Și a continuat așa până în vremurile noastre, începând cu canibalismul și până la naționalizarea pamântului. De aceea e firesc nu numai să presupunem, dar și să fim incredintati ca așa va fi mereu.
