I see clearly, I feel the happy possibility of transferring all the interest and the meaning of life, all the desires to everything that lies in my power and gives me good, to, I will not call it spiritual perfection, but ever greater proximity and fulfillment of the will universal, not of my will. Only now, in my ninth decade, am I beginning to learn, and I am learning. Văd limpede, simt posibilitatea fericită de a transfera întreg interesul și sensul vieții, toate dorințele spre tot ce stă în puterea mea și îmi dăruiește binele, spre, nu o voi numi desăvârșire duhovnicească, ci apropiere din ce în ce mai mare și împlinire a voinței universale, nu a voinței mele. Abia acum, în deceniul al nouălea, încep să învăț, și învăț. Să-mi ajute Dumnezeu să țin minte în fiecare clipa, în fiecare faptă, în fiecare gând: Ce fac e oare pentru împlinirea voinței Lui sau a voinței mele? Nu pentru oameni, ci pentru sine, pentru sinele spiritual? Și îmi amintesc. Și nădăjduiesc că voi ajunge până acolo, când nu va mai fi nevoie să-mi amintesc. Doamne-ajută.
