Indienii spun că numai credința lor brahmana e adevărată, chinezii spun că adevărată e numai credința budista, tătarii, turcii și perșii spun că adevărată e numai credința în Mahomed, evreii spun că adevărul e în credința lor, creștinii spun că toate aceste credințe sunt false, iar singura dreaptă e cea creștină, dar ei înșiși sunt dezbinați în tot felul de credințe: catolica, greco-catolica, luterană și diferite credințe protestante. Credința adevărată e numai cea care este una pentru toți oamenii. Iar acest lucru necesar tuturor există în toate credințele. Numai lucrul asta e adevărat și trebuie să ținem cont de de el.
