Viața egoistă este nerațională, animalică. Așa e viața copiilor și animalelor care nu se înmulțesc. Dar, pentru omul matur care are rațiune, viața egoistă e nefirească, e sminteală. În aceeași situație se afla multe femei care au trăit din copilărie o viață justificat egoistă, apoi egoismul familial prin iubirea animalică, apoi iubirea casnică egoistă, apoi maternitatea, iar apoi, când au rămas fără viața familială, fără copii, păstrează doar rațiunea, dar fără iubirea totală, și se află în situația unui animal. E o situație îngrozitoare și foarte răspândită.
