Sunt într-o stare de spirit proastă: nimic nu-i bine, totul mă chinuie, nimic nu e cum aș vrea eu. și iată, îmi amintesc că viața mea nu-i decât eliberarea de ce mă ascunde de mine însumi, și imediat totul se așează la locul lui. Tot ce mă chinuia pare un fleac, acel lucru care e viața și-ți dă bucuria ei îmi apare înainte. Ajunge să întind mâna. Necazul e înlocuit de întoarcerea liniștită spre mine însumi, și tot ceea ce m-a chinuit devine material de prelucrat. Iar prelucrarea e mereu posibilă și-mi dă mereu cea mai mare bucurie a vieții.
