To make the day go by faster, a little chatter is good. But this is the most useless way to spend time. If a tailor just holds a needle in his hand and chats with his customer all day, that suit will never be made. But you can even prick your finger in the process if you're not careful. One word is like a hundred, we often don't even notice how the day passed, why the work didn't go well. Pointless chatter is the death of all meaningful activity.
