There are two main forms of time wasting: regret and worry. When we regret the past, we waste a lot of time looking back at something we can't change anyway. And when we worry about the future, events that may never happen fill us with anxiety. The consequence of this is that we waste our daily amount of energy and time.

Az időpazarlásnak két fő formája van: a sajnálkozás és az aggódás. Amikor a múlt fölött sajnálkozunk, rengeteg időt pazarolunk arra, hogy visszafelé nézzünk valamire, amin már úgysem tudunk változtatni. Amikor pedig a jövő felől aggodalmaskodunk, olyan események töltenek el szorongással, amelyek esetleg soha nem is következnek be. Ennek az a következménye, hogy elpocsékoljuk a napi energia- és idő-adagunkat.
