Quote by Erich Maria Remarque

English (Source)

One Week. An eternity for someone who is truly unhappy. I was so unhappy, through and through, with every bit of it, that it was all gone in a week. My hair was also unhappy, my skin, my bed, even my clothes. I was so full of unhappiness that nothing existed outside of it. And when nothing else exists, unhappiness slowly ceases because there is nothing to compare it to. And then comes complete exhaustion. Then it goes away too. And you slowly come back to life.
