"Äао постоянно е безäейно, а може всичко äа направи. Ако богатите и госпоäарите постъпват като него, всички същества сами ще се променят. Поискат ли äа äействат хората, които се променят, аз ще им попреча с помощта на безименното, просто битие. Безименното, просто битие няма никакви стремежи. Без стремежи и желания, животът е спокоен и поряäъкът в страната от само себе си настъпва."

"Äао всегäа свобоäно от стремления к äелам, а также свобоäно и от безäелüя. Если б князüя и правители могли приäерживатüся этого, вся тüма вещей совершаласü бы сама собой. Привычку и страстü к совершению äел я стараюсü успокоитü в себе, своäя их на нет, и вновü обретая возможностü просто смотретü на мир, без помощи слов. Когäа живешü в простоте, без огляäки на расхожие мнения, тогäа и прихоäишü к тому, что называется, "не иметü привязанностей и страстей". Освобоäившисü от привязанностей и страстей, приäешü к покою, и тогäа вся Поäнебесная утихнет сама собой."

"Cesta Tao se vždy uskutečňuje nezasahováním! Kdyby si knížata a králové přidrželi této zásady, desetitisíce věcí by se samy od sebe přetvářely ve své přeměny. Ale kdyby chtěl někdo do procesu přeměn přece zasahovat, musí mít na paměti zásadu nevypověditelné prostoty! A k zásadě takovéto prostoty patří i stav bezžádostivosti! A kde není žádostivost, tam je klid a Podnebesí se usměrňuje samo od sebe!"

"Tao ve své stálosti nic nečiní vědomě a přesto nic nezůstane rozděláno kdyby se jej chtěl urozený držet ostatní lidé by se sami od sebe napravili a kdyby se tajně živené přání rozhořelo, zadržel bych jej bezejmennou jednoduchostí, jež přináší klid a oproštěnost a v níž se vše pod nebem spravuje samo"

"Tao jet věčně bez činnosti, při tom není, co by nedělalo. Kdyby králové a lenní knížata byli s to, aby se přidrželi (Taa), změnilo (=napravilo) by se deset tisíc bytostí samo od sebe (bez rozkazů i trestů). Jestliže změněny zatoužily by se hnouti, já držel bych je na uzdě bezejmennou samorostlostí. Nebo: Je-li tu bezejmenná samorostlost, jsme as i bez přání. Dospějeme-li tím, že nemáme přání, klidu, je podnebesí samo od sebe spořádáno."

"Tao, které je stálé a věčné nedělá nic a přece jim nic nezůstane nezasaženo! Kdyby vévodové a králové byli s to se jej držet vše co by se měnilo samo A to, co by samo proměnilo opět chtělo cokoli činit zadrželi bychom bezejmeným samorostem Neboť bezejmený samorost ten je bez chtění a co je bez chtění, sahá po klidu a svět se ustavuje sám!"

"Tao je věčné a zůstává bez konání, a přece není nic, co by nebylo vykonáno. Kdyby je knížata a králové dovedli zachovávat, všechno tvorstvo by se samo od sebe utvářelo. Kdyby však při svém rozvoji se samo zatoužilo přetvářet, sám bych je zadržel jednoduchostí bezejmenného. Bezejmenná jednoduchost je prosta žádostí a vášní. Co je bez žádostí a vášní, spočívá v klidu. Pak celý svět by se sám od sebe přivedl k míru."

"Tao stále uskutečňuje nečinnost, není však nic, co by nekonalo. Jestliže je budou urození a vládci zachovávat, pak se všechny bytosti budou samy měnit. Když se těm, kteří se mění, zachce být činnými, pak já je budu potlačovat prostým bytím, jež nemá jméno. Nemající jméno - prosté bytí - nevyžaduje nic pro sebe. Nejsou-li přání, přináší to klid a tehdy se pořádek na světě sám ustaví."

De, der stadig ønskede at udfolde sig, skulle vende tilbage til det forskelsløses enhed. Uden form intet begær. Uden begær er der ro. Således ville der blive harmoni i verden."

"Der SINN ist ewig ohne Handeln, und nichts bleibt ungewirkt. Wenn Fürsten und Könige ihn zu wahren verstünden, so würden alle Geschöpfe von selber sich gestalten. Und wenn beim Gestalten die Wünsche sich regten, so würde ich sie zügeln durch Einfalt ohne Namen. Die Einfalt ohne Namen führt zur Wunschlosigkeit. Die Wunschlosigkeit führt zur Stille: So wird die Welt von selber recht."

"Die Bahn, unabänderlich tatlos, begreift alle Tat: Vorbild des Ordners. Alles mag wirren in Regung: Ich bin unerschütterlich in Meiner Einfalt Jenseits. Denn Einzellose Einfaltigkeit, Allumfassend, ist Unregbarkeit. Unregbar, Unerschütterlich — all-so wird die Gemeinschaft frei."

"Tao ist ewig Nicht-Tun, und doch bleibt nichts ungetan. Wenn Fürsten und Könige (es) zu halten vermöge! werden alle Wesen von selbst sich umwandeln. Wandeln sie sich um und begehren doch zu tun, werde ich sie zurückhalten mit des Namenlosen Einfachheit. «Des Namenlosen Einfachheit Bringt auch Begehrenslosigkeit. Begehrenslosigkeit macht ruhn Und alle Welt von selbst recht-tun.»"

"Im Unergründlichen ist kein Wirken, und doch wirkt das Nichtwirkende alles. Wenn Fürsten und Könige sich ebenso von ihm bestimmen ließen, würde sich alles zum Besten gestalten. Und wenn die Menschen dennoch Wünsche hätten, so würde ich sie durch Herzenseinfalt überzeugen. Herzenseinfalt führt zur Wunschlosigkeit. Wo Wunschlosigkeit ist, ist Friede. Wo Friede ist, ordnet sich die Welt von selbst."

"Seid der Wege Gottes Schutz und Schirm! Enthaltet euch des Bildens, und niemand wird sein, der sich nicht bildet. Wenn Könige und Lebensfürsten es verstünden, Wesenswahrer zu sein, so würden sie das eingeborene Volk so führen, daß es aus sich selber sich erneuert. Würde es sich erneuern und sich entfalten wollen, ich, als Führer, würde seinen Wandel schützen und veranlassen, daß es frei ist in der Sprache und zum ursprünglichen Wesen kommt. Ist es frei in der Sprache und zum ursprünglichen Wesen gekommen, so würde ich es auch zur Begierdelosigkeit führen. Begierdelosigkeit wirkt Seelenruhe. Reichsoberhaupt und Unterwalter seien Helfer in der Selbstbestimmung!"

"Tao handelt nicht, und ist doch voller Wirkung. Wenn Könige und Fürsten dies begriffen, würden sie leichter regieren, würden sich zügeln zu ehrgeizloser Einfachheit. Sie stillt die Begehren. Begierdelosigkeit läßt ruhn und alle Welt das Rechte tun."

"Das Dao ist beständig Nichts, das gestaltet, aber auch Nichts, das nicht gestaltet. Wenn die Adligen und Könige es bewahren können, dann werden die Dinge dahin geführt, sich von selbst zu verändern. Durch die Veränderung wollen sie schaffen. Ich leite und schütze sie durch das Einfache, das Nichts heißt. Das "Nichts" genannte Einfache bringt sie auch dahin, Nichts zu erstreben, (d. h.) nicht zu streben in stiller Ruhe. Die Dinge unter dem Himmel werden dazu gebracht, sich selbst Gestalt zu geben."

"IST DAS EINE ohne Handeln Auch, es läßt nichts ungetan. Folgten Fürsten seiner Bahn, Würde jeder Untertan Ganz von selber sich verwandeln. Wenn dann die durch weises Walten Ihres Fürsten schon Bekehrten Jemals wieder aufbegehrten: Mit dem EINEN, unbewehrten, Würde ich sie niederhalten. Sein Gewähren und Verzichten Bringt Begehrenslosigkeit; Diese bringt der Einfachheit Ruhe; Ruhe macht bereit, Sich gefügig einzurichten."

"Το Ταό δρα αβίαστα, Γι’αυτό και μέσω αυτού γίνονται τα πάντα. Αν οι ισχυροί μπορούσαν να το κατέχουν, Ο κόσμος ολόκληρος θα μεταμορφωνόταν από μόνος του. Θα έβρισκε το φυσικό ρυθμό του. Οι άνθρωποι θα ήταν ευτυχισμένοι Μέσα στην απλή καθημερινότητά τους. Θα ήταν αρμονικοί, και ελεύθεροι από επιθυμίες. Όπου δεν υπάρχει επιθυμία, όλα είναι ειρηνικά, Και ο κόσμος τακτοποιείται από μόνος του."

"Tao invariably takes no action, and yet there is nothing left undone. If kings and barons can keep it, all things will transform spontaneously. If, after transformation, they should desire to be active, I would restrain them with simplicity, which has no name. Simplicity, which has no name, is free of desires, Being free of desires, it is tranquil. And the world will be at peace of its own accord."

"Tao abides in non-actions, Yet nothing is left undone. If kings and lords observed this, The ten thousand things would develop naturally. If they still desired to act, They would return to the simplicity of formless substance. Without form there is no desire. Without desire there is tranquility. And this way all things would be at peace."

"The Tao in its regular course does nothing (for the sake of doing it), and so there is nothing which it does not do. If princes and kings were able to maintain it, all things would of themselves be transformed by them. If this transformation became to me an object of desire, I would express the desire by the nameless simplicity. Simplicity without a name Is free from all external aim. With no desire, at rest and still, All things go right as of their will."

"The Tao never does, Yet through it everything is done. If princes and dukes can keep the Tao, the world will of its own accord be reformed. When reformed and rising to action, Let it be restrained by the Nameless pristine simplicity. The Nameless pristine simplicity Is stripped of desire (for contention). By stripping of desire quiescence is achieved, And the world arrives at peace of its own accord."

"TAO never makes any ado, And yet it does everything. If a ruler can cling to it, All things will grow of themselves. When they have grown and tend to make a stir, It is time to keep them in their place by the aid of the nameless Primal Simplicity, Which alone can curb the desires of men. When the desires of men are curbed, there will be peace, And the world will settle down of its own accord."

"Reason always practises non-assertion, and there is nothing that remains undone. If princes and kings could keep Reason, the ten thousand creatures would of themselves be reformed. While being reformed they might yet be anxious to stir; but I would restrain them by the simplicity of the Ineffable. "The simplicity of the unexpressed Will purify the heart of lust. Is there no lust there will be rest, And all the world will thus be blest.""

"Tao never does; Yet through it all things are done. If the barons and kings would but possess themselves of it, The ten thousand creatures would at once be transformed. And if having been transformed they should desire to act, We must restrain them by the blankness of the Unnamed. The blankness of the Unnamed Brings dispassion; To be dispassionate is to be still. And so, of itself, the whole empire will be at rest."

"The Dao is constantly nameless. Were Marquises and kings able to maintain it, The ten thousand things would transform on their own. Having transformed, were their desires to become active, I would subdue them with the nameless simplicity. Having subdued them with the nameless simplicity, I would not disgrace them. By not being disgraced, they will be tranquil. And Heaven and Earth will of themselves be correct and right."

"Tao invariably Does Nothing, and nothing remains not done If the princes and kings can watch over it the thousands of things will change by themselves. Not being disgraced, they will be still. The world will order itself."

"The way to use life is to do nothing through acting, The way to use life is to do everything through being. When a leader knows this, His land naturally goes straight. And the world's passion to stray from straightness Is checked at the core By the simple unnamable cleanness Through which men cease from coveting, And to a land where men cease from coveting Peace comes of course."

"Tao never makes a name for itself, Yet there is nothing it does not do. If a ruler can cleave to it, All beings will eventually change by themselves. After this change, when they desire to act, He will keep them in their places with original uniqueness of the Nameless. Eventually there will be Non-desire. If no desire arises, then serenity, And eventually the world will settle by itself."

"The Tao never does a thing yet there is nothing it doesn't do if a ruler could uphold it people by themselves would change and changing if their desires stirred he would make them still with simplicity that has no name stilled by nameless simplicity they would not desire and not desiring be at peace the world would fix itself"

"The Tao never does anything, yet through it all things are done. If powerful men and women could venter themselves in it, the whole world would be transformed by itself, in its natural rhythms. People would be content with their simple, everyday lives, in harmony, and free of desire. When there is no desire, all things are at peace."

"The activity of Everlasting Tao is in the Inner Kingdom, It does not act except through the innermost. If prince and people can maintain it together, All beings will be transformed from within themselves; Being transformed, they again desire action. We must learn to still desire To obtain in the Inner Life Purity of the Name. Purity of the Name in the Inner Life Brings absence of desire; Absence of desire brings stillness; Thus shall the world be perfected from within itself."

"Tao endures without a name, Yet nothing is left undone. If kings and lords could possess it, All beings would transform themselves. Transformed, they desire to create; I quiet them through nameless simplicity. Then there is no desire. No desire is serenity, An the world settles of itself."

"The Way is always uncontrived, yet there's nothing it doesn't do. If lords and monarchs could keep to it, all beings would evolve spontaneously. When they have evolved and want to act, I would stabilize them with nameless simplicity. Even nameless simplicity would not be wanted. By not wanting, there is calm, and the world will straighten itself."

"The way never acts, yet nothing is left undone. Should lords and princes be able to hold fast to it, The myriad creatures will be transformed of their own accord. After they are transformed, should desire raise its head, I shall press it down with the weight of the nameless uncarved block. The nameless uncarved block Is but freedom from desire, And if I cease to desire and remain still, The empire will be at peace of its own accord."

Without desire there is stillness, And the world settles by itself."

"The Tao proceedeth by its own nature, doing nothing; therefore there is no doing which it comprehendeth not. If kings and princes were to govern in this manner, all things would operate aright by their own motion. If this transmutation were my object, I should call it Simplicity. Simplicity hath no name nor purpose; silently and at ease all things go well."

"Tao everlasting (ch'ang) does not act (wu wei), And yet nothing is not done (erh wu pu wei). If kings and barons can abide by (shou) it, The ten thousand things will transform by themselves (tzu hua). If in transforming desire (yü) is aroused, I shall suppress it by the nameless uncarved wood (p'u). With the nameless uncarved wood, There shall be no desire (wu yü). Without desire there is thus quietude (ching). The world shall be self-ordered (tzu ting)."

"Tao is always inactive.* But it leaves nothing undone.** If dukes and kings can keep it, Then all things will be naturally transformed. If transformation raises desires, I would suppress them with nameless simplicity.*3* Nameless simplicity means being without desires.*4* Being without desires and with tranquility, The world will keep peace by itself."

"The Tao is constant in non-action Yet there is nothing it does not do If the sovereign can hold on to this All things shall transform themselves Transformed, yet wishing to achieve I shall restrain them with the simplicity of the nameless The simplicity of the nameless They shall be without desire Without desire, using stillness The world shall steady itself"

"Dao in its eternity does nothing, Yet nothing is not done. If lords and kings can all abide by that, All things will change of themselves. As they change, their desires start to grow; I calm them down with the nameless pristine timber. Calmed by the nameless pristine timber, They will have no more desire. Desireless and calm, The world will correct its own course."

"Tau is ever inactive; and yet leaves nothing undone. If a prince or a king could keep it, all things would be, of their own accord, transformed (to his likeness). If during the process of transformation, there should be any manifestation of desire, I would restrain it by the nameless Simplicity. The nameless Simplicity would also produce an absence of all desire, which would again result in quietude; and the world would rectify itself."

"Way-making (dao) is really nameless (wuming). Were the nobles and kings able to respect this, All things (wanwu) would be able to develop along their own lines. Having developed along their own lines, were they to desire to depart from this, I would realign them With a nameless scrap of unworked wood. Realigned with this nameless scrap of unworked wood, They would leave off desiring. In not desiring, they would achieve equilibrium, And all the world would be properly ordered of its own accord."

"El Tao eterno no actúa Y sin embargo nada deja de hacer. Si los reyes y príncipes pudieran guiarse por él, Los diez mil seres se transformarían por sí mismos. Si al transformarse surge el deseo Yo lo subyugaré como a un demonio, Con el bloque intallado sin nombre. Con el bloque intallado sin nombre Verdaderamente no habrá deseo. No habiendo deseo, habrá paz. El mundo se ordenará por sí mismo."

"El Tao, en su ser habitual, no obra y nada deja de hacer.Si los príncipes pudieran observar [esta regla], los diezmil [todos los] seres evolucionarían espontáneamente.Si en su evolución surgieran apetencias de obrar o actuar,nosotros las deberíamos reprimir con el anonimato del tronco enbruto. En el anonimato del tronco en bruto no hay ambiciones. Sin ambicioneshay paz y el mundo se concierta espontáneamente."

"El dao, permanente, no tiene nombre; si los señores y reyes pudieran conservarlo, todos los seres se transformarían por sí solos. Si al transformarse apareciera en ellos el deseo de levantar la cabeza, yo los refrenaría con el trozo de madera sin nombre. Refrenados mediante el trozo de madera sin nombre, no se sentirán ofendidos. Al no existir ofensas surgiría la tranquilidad, y el cielo y la tierra se ordenarían espontáneamente."

"El Tao espera en la no-acción. Sin embargo, nada queda sin hacer. Si reyes y señores observan esto, las diez mil cosas se desarrollarán naturalmente. Si ellas desean aún actuar, regresarán a la simplicidad de la subtancia sin forma. Sin forma no existe el deseo. Sin el deseo no exista la tranquilidad y así todas las cosas estarían en paz."

"El SENTIDO permanece siempre inactivo, y nada deja sin hacer. Si príncipes y reyes se atienen a él, todas las cosas se forman a sí mismas. Si se suscitara la codicia, yo la conjuraría por medio de la simplicidad sin nombre. La simplicidad sin nombre hace que se ausente el deseo. La ausencia del deseo, tranquiliza, y el mundo se arregla solo."

"El Tao nunca lleva a cabo ninguna acción, pero no deja nadapor hacer. Si un gobernante puede atenerse a él, todas las cosas se desarrollanpor sí mismas. Cuando se han desarrollado y tienden a agitarse, es timpo de mantenerlasen su lugar con la ayuda de la innombrable Simplicidad Primordial; sóloella puede moderar los deseos humanos. Cuando los deseos humanos son moderados, se produce la paz, y el mundose armoniza por su propio acuerdo."

"Tao ei tee midagi, aga midagi ei jää tegemata. Kui aadlimehed-kuningad püsiksid temaga, muutuksid tuhanded iseendast; muutuksid ja sooviksid tegutseda – ma hoian neid siis vaos nimeta puupaku kombel. Nimeta puupakk – temal pole soove; pole soove, on rahu; kõik saab korda Taeva all."

"تائو هرگز عملي انجام نمي دهد، ولي همه چيز از طريق آن انجام مي شود. اگر مردان و زنان قدرتمند مي توانستند خود را در آن متمركز كنند، دنيا خود به خود متحول مي شد و به آهنگِ طبيعي خود باز مي گشت، مردم به زندگي ساده و روزمره خود راضي مي شدند و از هر آرزويي آزاد و رها بودند. وقتي آرزويي نباشد، همه چيز در صلح و آرامش است."

"Tao pysyy rauhallisena eikä kuitenkaan jätä mitään tekemättä. Jos hallitsija tai kuningas voisi pitää siitä kiinni, niin kaikki asiat itsestään paranisivat Jos paranemisen ohella vielä syntyisi himoa, niin minä sen kukistaisin sanomattomalla yksinkertaisuudella. Sanomaton yksinkertaisuus poistaisi himon ja rauha palaisi taas.* Siten maailma syntyisi uudestaan."

"Le Principe est toujours non-agissant (n’agit pas activement) et cependant tout est fait par lui (par participation inapparente). Si le prince et les seigneurs pouvaient gouverner ainsi (sans y mettre la main), tous les êtres devien­draient spontanément parfaits (par retour à la na­ture). Il n’y aurait plus ensuite qu’à réprimer leurs velléités éventuelles de sortir de cet état (en agissant, en les rappelant chaque fois à la nature innommée à la simplicité primordiale du Principe). Dans cet état de nature innommée, pas de désirs. Pas de dé­sirs, et tout est en paix, et l’État se gouverne de lui-même."

"Le Tao pratique constamment le non-agir et (pourtant) il n'y a rien qu'il ne fasse. Si les rois et les vassaux peuvent le conserver, tous les êtres se convertiront. Si, une ois convertis, ils veulent encore se mettre en mouvement, je les contiendrai à l'aide de l'être simple qui n'a pas de nom (c'est-à-dire le Tao). L'être simple qui n'a pas de nom, il ne faut pas même le désirer. L'absence de désirs procure la quiétude. Alors l'empire se rectifie de lui-même."

"Le Tao n'agit pas par lui-même. Et pourtant il n'est rien qu'il n'accomplisse. Si seulement les rois et les princes pouvaient s'y tenir, les dix mille êtres les suivraient dans cette voie. Dans la voie du bonheur, dans la voie de la perfection. Et si malgré tout ils voulaient encore agir, la simplicité suprême du Sans-Nom les assagirait. Ils deviendraient alors sans désir, en paix, et, partant, l'univers se transformerait. de lui-même."

"La voie n’agit pas en elle-même Et pourtant rien ne se fait sans elle. Si princes et seigneurs pouvaient s’y tenir La multiplicité des êtres Se transformerait d’elle-même. Si, durant la transformation, Le désir vient à s’élever Il s’assagit de par la force De la nature du sans-nom. La nature simple du sans-nom (le bois brut, sans nom) Est libre de désir. Libre de désir et calme L’empire restera en paix de lui-même."

"Le Tao est éternellement sans agir; cependant tout est fait par lui. Si les rois et les princes pouvaient le suivre, les dix mille êtres se transformeraient d'eux-mêmes. Transformés, s'ils voulaient agir, je les maintiendrais dans la rectitude grâce à la Simplicité sans nom. La simplicité sans nom les rendrait aussi sans désirs; sans désirs, ils seraient en paix, et l'Univers se rectifierait de lui-même."

Изменяющихся, но страстями терзаемых, я усмиряю посреäством Естественности Древесной, имени не имеющей. Естественностü Безымянная -- в том, чтоб äостичü Бесстрастия. Покой -- через Бесстрастие. Поäнебесная сама упоряäочивается."

"Дао постоянно осуществляет недеяние, однако нет ничего такого, что бы оно не делало. Если знать и государи будут его соблюдать, то все существа будут изменяться сами собой. Если те, которые изменяются, захотят действовать, то я буду подавлять их при помощи простого бытия, не обладающего именем. Не обладающее именем - простое бытие - для себя ничего не желает. Отсутствие желания приносит покой, и тогда порядок в стране сам собой установится."

"Дао постоянно не деяет и не не-деяет. Если хоу и ваны смогут блюсти его, то мириады вещей будут сами собою развиваться. [Но если кто] наравне с развитием вдруг возжелает еще и мастерить, я обуздаю того безымянным духовным естеством (пу). Само же безымянное духовное естество по-прежнему останется бесстрастным. [Его] бесстрастие приведет к покою, и Поднебесная сама собою утвердится."

"Путь вечно в недеянии, А в мире все делается. Если князья и цари смогут блюсти его, Вещи сами себя претворят. Если потом они возымеют желание действовать, Я сдержу их безымянной простотой. Безымянная простота не таит никаких желаний. Когда в покое не родится желаний, Поднебесный мир выправится сам собой."

"Дао извечно пребывает в недеянии, но нет того, чего бы оно ни совершало. Если правители и князья могли бы соблюдать его, мириады существ обрели бы самопреображение. Если же после того, как они обретут преображение, родятся желания, то я погашу их безымянной простотой. Безымянная простота свободна от желаний. И если, избавясь от желаний, я обрету спокойствие, то Поднебесная сама придёт в порядок."

"В общине обычно никого не заставляют, но нет никого, кто бы не трудился. Все существа естественно обучаются, если отцы и матери находятся около них, обретают навыки и любят свое дело. Нам нужно оберегать их, привечая невыделяющуюся простоту. Неприметные и неприхотливые, если только не будут иметь вожделений, не домогаются и поэтому спокойны. Население само по себе утихомиривается."

"Постоянство Пути - в отсутствии осуществления. В результате отсутствует не-осуществленное. Если удельные князья и правители способны придерживаться этого, тогда мириады сущностей сами стремятся к преобразованиям. Если в преобразованиях желают действовать, то сущность моя удержит их посредством первозданной целостности отсутствия имен. Состояние первозданной целостности отсутствия имен также ориентирует на отсутствие стремлений. Когда состояние отсутствия стремлений осуществляется посредством покоя, тогда выправление Поднебесной будет происходить само собой."

"Дао, будучи незыблемым, находится в бездействии, но оно при этом непременно действует. Если владетели и царь смогут ему следовать, то десять тысяч вещей сами же преобразуются. Когда они, преобразовываясь, пожелают возрасти, я их укрощу посредством приведения к безымянной первозданности. В состоянии безымянной первозданности не появится желаний. А при отсутствии желаний и в покое Поднебесная сама придет к стабильности."

"Дао-Путь постоянен, в недеянии он пребывает, но нет ничего, не сделанного им. И если князья и цари умеют его блюсти, все сущее будет изменяться само по себе. Но если изменяясь, оно возжелает творить самочинно, я буду давить на него простотой первозданной. После того как я надавлю на него простотой первозданной, оно желать перестанет. Без вожделений оно обретет покой, и тогда Поднебесная исправится сама собой."

"Đạo thường không làm gì; nhưng không gì không làm. Nếu bậc vương hầu giữ được Đạo thì muôn loài sẽ tự chuyển hóa. Chuyển hóa mà muốn vẽ vời sinh chuyện, ta sẽ chấn tĩnh lại bằng cái «Không tên mộc mạc». Vô danh mộc mạc ắt không ham muốn. Không ham muốn dễ được yên tĩnh, do đó thiên hạ sẽ định."

"Trời im lìm vô vi bất biến, Vẫn làm nên muôn chuyện muôn công. Vương hầu lấy đó làm lòng, Muôn loài ắt sẽ hanh thông thái bình. Nếu có kẻ sinh tình dở dói, Ta can cho bỏ thói lao đao, Kìa gương cao cả tầng cao, Vô danh thuần phác, lẽ nào chẳng theo. Sống phác giản, chẳng đeo danh lợi, Lòng thênh thang sạch mọi tham lam. Không tham, lòng sẽ bình an, Tự nhiên thiên hạ thái khang, trị bình."
