Mit remélnek még az emberek a vallástól? Már tapogatják, hogy a kozmosz állandósult. Időtlen cselekmény. Az ismeretlen semmiből jövünk, akcidentálisan, az ismeretlen semmiben tűnünk el, akcidentálisan. Ami a létezés és a nemlétezés pillanata között "idő", annyiban tudatos csak hogy feltételezünk egy Kozmoszt, amely nemcsak vak és süket cselekmény, hanem tudatos folyamat, és ennek a tudatnak a mi tudatunk része. De ez is csak remény. Nem biztos, hogy az Univerzumnak van "tudata".
